TERMS OF DELIVERY AND CANCELLATION

1 General Information

These LiveFinland's general terms and conditions apply to accommodation, packages and other products contracts, that service providers and customers make in the information and reservation system provided by LiveFinland, if the customer has approved them when making the booking. These terms and conditions do not exclude other special terms and conditions (the specific policy of the service provider).

2 Parties to the agreement

Parties to the Agreement are the client who books travel services in the information and reservation system provided by LiveFinland, and the service provider.

3 Contract

Booking occurs, when LiveFinland sends a booking confirmation to the customer. If the customer books a trip directly in the service provider's system, the service provider 's own terms and conditions shall apply.

4 Cancellation Policy

The Service Provider may unilaterally cancel the reservation made through LiveFinland's reservation system due to force majeure. The withdrawal shall be notified to the customer as soon as possible and return all the fees collected to the customer, without delay. Cancellation is binding once it has been notified to the customer in writing (letter or email).

Customer may cancel a reservation in accordance with these terms and conditions of the cancellation to the LiveFinland customer service: info@livefinland.fi or +358 675 0074 (phone hours on weekdays 12am-2pm).

Customer may cancel the reservation without any costs other than the € 10.00 cancellation fee if cancellation is made at least 14 days before the sell-by date announced in LiveFinland’s online service.

If the customer cancels the reservation less than 14 days but not later than 48 hours before the the sell-by date announced in LiveFinland’s online service, the service provider has the right to charge 50 % of the booking price. If the customer cancels the reservation later, the service provider is entitled to charge the total booking price to the customer. If the customer has encountered an unexpected and serious event for which it would be unreasonable to require him to embark on a journey, the customer is entitled to cancel the trip in spite of the above-mentioned time limits for paying a cancellation fee of € 10.00.

If travel services are not in use or in case of no-show at the agreed time, the service provider is entitled to charge the customer the total booking price.

5 Accommodation Terms and Conditions

Booked accommodation is available to the customer at 3pm on the agreed day of arrival, unless otherwise agreed. 

Customers will have to check out at 12am on day of departure.

The service provider can provide customers with a substitute accommodation, if it is reasonable for customers, and the replacement accommodation is only slightly different compared to the agreed accommodation, and the use of the alternative accommodation has a legitimate reason (force majeure or if the replacement accommodation is necessary for other important reason). All the replacement accommodation additional costs will be paid by the service provider.

If a booking has been agreed for accommodation in a particular time, the accommodation will end at the agreed time. Accommodation term extension will require the approval from the service provider. If guests leave earlier, the service provider may charge for the full agreed time. The service provider must, however, continue to try to sell the accommodation and the successful sale reduces the customer's payment.

If customers do not use the additional services at indicated time (meals, etc.), they are not entitled to a refund.

6 Customer Responsibilities

Once the booking is confirmed, the contract is valid, and the customer is obliged to pay the agreed fee.

The general compensation law shall apply to damage caused by customer. Thus, the customer is liable for all the damages causes by him to the service provider, including the compensation of the damage suffered by a third party that can be retrieved directly from the service provider.

7 Service provider responsibilities

The service provider provides the agreed services in accordance with the method according to the usual quality. The service provider is not responsible for ensuring that the pictures shown in LiveFinland system always match the actual booking (eg accommodation bookings).

Prices published in Live Finland's system include all fees, taxes and other costs.

8 Service provider's liability for damage

Existing compensation and product liability law shall apply to damages caused to customers.

9 Contract disputes

Any contract disputes will be settled on the service provider's local district court under Finnish law, except with the consumer customers, when disputes may be brought to the consumer's local district court for consideration.

10 Payment Service Provider

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) acts as an implementer of the payment handling service and as a Payment Service Provider. In payments made with Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard Paytrail Oyj will be shown as the recipient in the invoice and Paytrail Oyj will forward the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is an authorized Payment Institution.
